For an industrial wood pellet plant, a pellet cooler is never a dispensable thing. When pellets come out of the pellet mill, they are always hot and wet. Then a pellet cooler is needed. Biomass pellet cooler is a type of counterflow cooling machine with highly automated control system. Adopting the counterflow cooling principle, it can cool down the temperature of the pellets to 3 ~ 5℃ above room temperature and take away most of the moisture on the surface of the pellets at the same time. Besides cooling wood pellets, biomass pellet cooler can also be used for cooling feed pellets in feed pellet processing lines.

2. Features of wood pellet cooler:
1) The counter flow cooler adopt counter current cooling principle to cool down the pellets wih high temperature and humidity, which avoid pellet cracking by the direct contact between hot pellets and cold airflow. so there is no quick chilling happens and pellet surface cracking can be prevented.
2) Use closed unloader with large inlet area, so the cooling effect is significant;
3) Adopts slide valve or tilting discharge mechanism with smooth and reliable motion, less pellets remain;
4) Low energy consumption, easy to operate.
3. Main parts of Wood Pellet Cooler
The main parts of the counter flow pellet cooler are: the rotary distributor, the cooling room, the pendulum discharger.
1) Rotary Distributor: With the rotary distributor, the pellets can be cooled evenly in the bin room. Using the pendulum discharger, Smoothly gently discharge can be achieved.
2) Cooling Room: The cooling process applies the counter flow cooling principle. Cooling air reverse the pellets and the pellet is cooled from the bottom to top gradually, thus the cooling time is increased. this will do good to the production of high quality pellets and to extend the time of pellets storage.
3)Pendulum Discharger: The Pendulum Discharger adopts reciprocating discharge, stable operation, small residual.
